- Point of Care Resources (30 mins)

Covers resources tailored specifically for use at the Point of Care, including ClinicalKey and VisualDx. Learn which database to search in, depending on need, and how to access them offsite.

- Is there an App for that? (20 mins)

Chances are there is, and we can guide you where to find them and assist with getting started using them.

Searching and Research Training:

- Where do I Start? Evaluating Questions and Resources (30 mins)

Cannot decide between PubMed, Medline, or just searching in the Library portal? Need to know the difference between ClinicalKey and UpToDate? We can help you determine where to start, identify the differences between resources, and make your searching more effective and efficient.

-  Getting Started in PubMed (30 mins)

Does PubMed look completely different since the last time you used it? Or is it now asking for a new type of login? We can help you get reacquainted with the most powerful searching tool at our disposal.

- Using MeSH and Building Searches (30 mins)

Are you comfortable with the basic keyword search features but want to take advantage of the more complex tools available? We can show you how to utilize the Medical Subject Headings to build more intricacy and focus into your searching, leaving less ‘clutter’ in your search results and more time for reading.

Author Training Services:

- Copyright Permissions Overview (20 mins)

Do I need special permission to use someone else's copyrighted work? Even for Journal Club? Or just a poster? The answer is most likely yes, and we can help you learn the ins and outs.

- Setting up an ORCiD account and linking it to SCOPUS (15 mins)

Our Librarians are here to assist you with the creation or fine tuning of your personal ORCiD account and to help link it to SCOPUS for maximum visibility with minimum effort.
